TRANSFER YOUR PAWGI CERTIFICATION
Requirements (CWG, CSG, CWI and cwit)
PAWGI Certification holders may transfer their certification to FJELLMENN (Northern Explorers Guild), and obtain an Associate Membership as well as Expedition Assistant certification, under all of the following conditions:
Applicant shall hold a valid CWG (Certified Wilderness Guide), CSG (Certified Specialized Guide), CWI (Certified Wilderness Instructor), or CWIT (Certified Wilderness Instructor Trainer) certification issued by the Professional Association of Wilderness Guides and Instructors (PAWGI).
Applicant shall have taken a certification course in one of the following locations: Norway (including Svalbard), Sweden, Denmark (specifically Greenland and the Faroe Islands), Iceland, Finland, the United States (specifically Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Oregon and Washington state), Canada (specifically British Columbia, the Yukon Territory, the Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Nunavut), Chile, Argentina, Antarctica, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan or Russia.
Applicant shall meet all conditions of the PAWGI certification currently held.
Applicant shall have complied with PAWGI standards at all times and shall never have received any compliance violation at any time.
Note: All transfers are subject to review and are ultimately completed at our discretion.
REQUIREMENTS (CAG)
PAWGI Certification holders may transfer to FJELLMENN (Northern Explorers Guild), and obtain an associate membership and Expedition Assistant certification, under all of the following conditions:
Applicant must have taken a certification course provided by Amaruk Wilderness, Alsek Canadian, Norskk, Sönnungr, Jómsvíkingar, Bjørnsen Outfitters, Bjørnsen Nordisk, Áskunnr & Brœðr or Áskunnr Gunnarskólinn (The School of Combat).
Applicant must have registered for such course no later than 31 December 2020 at 2359 MST (Mountain Standard Time)
Deadline
All transfer applications must be received by 31 December 2023.
Fees
All transfer and membership fees are waived until 31 December 2022.
Transfer application processing fee of 2,000 NOK (Norwegian Kroner) applies as of 1 January 2023, irrespective of your application for transfer being accepted or rejected.
